About Metal Cutting Service
MCS was founded in
1956 by Milon Viel and his father-in-law, Ross Clarke, as an aluminum
window frame manufacturer. However, it did not remain that way for long.
Formerly in the Air
Force, Milon worked for Douglas Aircraft. Ross had retired as a co-pilot
and mechanic for Hearst Airlines in San Simeon. The two men designed and
built window frames at night in a modest building in South El Monte, California.
Neighboring businesses learned of their machine and began asking them
to cut parts. It was at this time that they recognized an opportunity
to provide a distinct service that could support local machine shops and
other area businesses who had no means to saw their own material.
Today, Metal Cutting
Service is located in City of Industry with an expansive facility of over
32,000 square feet. It is one of the largest facilities in North America
and houses in excess of 35 saws, offering unique contour sawing in various
grades of metal plate, the largest capacities, and the highest production
capabilities in sawing today.
It is this strong
heritage and commitment that Metal Cutting Service invites you to experience
The MCS Advantage.
